From the PHTN thread,
biz.yahoo.com
I like this part, Genesis Microchip led the controller IC market in 1998 with a 45% share and DisplaySearch expects Genesis's share to rise to 50% in 1999. Sage Inc. was No. 3 in 1998 with a 7% share and DisplaySearch expects Sage to rise to No. 2 in 1999 as it boost its share to 16%. Macronix was No. 2 in 1998 with an 8% share and it will fall to No. 3 in 1999 although its share will rise to 11%. SmartASIC will jump to No. 4 in 1999. Genesis also leads with number of identified and active design wins at 72 followed by Sage and Macronix at 38 each and SmartASIC at 18.

The three best bets going forward are GNSS, AFCO and PHTN. AFCO is the most interesting. If they are bought out they are worth 20 plus a share. If they sell some sputtering machines they are worth 20 to 30 a share. If the joint venture in China goes as well as publicized they are worth 15 to 25 a share. Insiders own over 30% of the company and they aren't selling. Balance sheet looks good and they make money. They are in the right business at the right time.
Keep in mind that I'm biased because I own all three of these stocks. All will do well in the next year. AFCO has more near term upside in my opinion.
