Hi Robert-

Looks like it's that time of year for AIMers to tally results so the
non-AIMers can cry in their beer. I just had my best year ever,
thanks principally to EGRP. Here's the summary for my IRA which is
run exclusively with AIM. The results include both securities and
cash... everything lumped together with all commissions taken out of
cash:

Included dates Total AvgCashRes
Return (Trailing 12 mo.)
12/31/96 - 12/31/97 63% 38%
12/31/97 - 12/31/98 62% 17%
12/31/98 - 12/31/99 86% 57%

The only thing I did differently this year was to cash out of EGRP at
its high for the year. You may recall that I ran out of cash last
year when I tried to get greedy with too many Vealies. I didn't want
the big run-up in EGRP to evaporate and leave me with $0 and unable to
buy year-end bargains. However, I'm something of an EGRP junky, so I
started getting back in later in the year. Hope I don't regret that
decision.

I'd certainly have had a double this year if I'd kept my position in
BOBJ instead of CTAL. CTAL turned out to be too inactive while BOBJ
is up over 12X for the year. Bernie, you were right!!!! :-)
