Guess who's back?! I hope you guys had a great year (with NASDAQ up 80% who didn't?). Please accept my best wishes for the new year.

Globe trotting was a lot of fun. It took considerably longer than I had thought, but now I miss it. I sold all my stocks before leaving except for NOVL that had cost me ~$18. Should have sold it a couple of days ago, but it's never too late to take some profits. Since I got back in October, I've been busy building firewalls and organizing computers and beating the Y2K thing. Now that those projects are over, I will have some time to get into the market...though I must say I am not as interested in it as prior to my trips. I kept some notes from the trips and if I get the chance I'll put them on the net. I also took over 400 photo's, some of which will also go on the net if I get to finishing up my travelogue.

About a year ago I had an idea for a great business. I looked for partners and couldn't find any. Just as I left, USI (ticker USIX) went public with the same idea. They were identical down to the choice of software apps. Few people wanted to invest in them then. But their current valuations says there's more faith in them now. I'd still like the idea if I can get partners.

So what have you guys been up to so far?

cheers,
ST
