Ya, I took a couple of detours in Burma and Laos before discretion took the better part of me and stopped me from going down in Cambodia. One of the interesting things about this trip was seeing how Internet is everywhere. For example, I contacted the Aku tribe in the mountains of Northern Thailand via email and asked to see their village. Sure enough there was reply and a pick up in a timely fashion. Next time I'll do some serious travelling (read will lease/empty my apartment so I won't feel tied down). I have a couple open invitations to China and Tibet that I might take up. How have you been?

As far as the market goes, I know of a few people who went short in late December. Some were anticipating Y2K problems, but most thought NAZ has gone up too much too fast. I don't think the bull market has come to an end, because there are many other sectors and countries that are early in their up cycle. But I do think than the US$ is headed lower...with all its consequences. So Canada and Australia may be good hunting grounds. My other themes for the year are Semicaps and B-2-B Internets. So in the internet front I'd consider Oracle before thinking of Yahoo and will consider USIX before AMZN.

So much to consider, so little time!

GM, are you still using TC2000? If so, could you post the charts for %2-stdv-above-200DMA and 4wk-cum-new-highs-vs-OEX.

thanks,
ST
