Looking at the abstract to the Luxell patent (US05049780 filed in '89) it appears that they are just patenting an anti-reflective film on their FPDs. Common practice on eyeglasses and optics, I believe.

Still, Luxell is selling product at an increasing rate. In '99 they lost 8 cents a share down from 12 cents the previous year.

I've never bought a stock on a Canadian exchange and by the looks of the chart not a great percentage of tech-spec Americans do.
