This is a technical selloff and indeed related to the fickle of backbonitis. The cable stks were seen as dogs a week ago now AOL says BOO and it is time to discount the WCOM/UUNET backbone. These kind of technical, hysterical selloffs are usually buying OPS. Still on sidelines holding my breath.
