Hi Gary (& Tom, if you're out there),

This is even better than e-mail; an EXCLUSIVE board on SI.
Thought I'd post some musings so the CyberCops won't cancel this
board due to inactivity.

Today was a good day - record close @ 13.25. We've bumped that #
once or twice prior, but never closed this high.

Per Greg @ ICC (Monday or Tuesday), Mark & the gang are to begin
GOAE road show Friday & Monday (April 25 & 28). I'm hoping that price
is now positioned to move significantly higher (SOON).
Based on last 2 days volume (91K average) vs. average volume since
inception in February (38K average) coupled with record high close,
we may be sitting pretty right now. For better or worse, we shall
know soon.

Note: THE FOLLOWING IS A TOTAL DREAM THAT IS 100% HYPE & SHOULD NEVER
BE POSTED ON ONE OF THESE BOARDS. The only reason I'm posting such is
because NOBODY READS THIS BOARD!!! So I figure it's OK.

From HP press release today:
biz.yahoo.com

<<HP( Hewlett-Packard Co ) says may eye other Internet acquisitions
PALO ALTO, Calif., April 23 (Reuter) - Hewlett-Packard Co Executive
Vice President Rick Belluzzo said the Internet has been a central part
of the company's strategy and pursuit of it could eventually lead to
further acquisitions in the area. Belluzzo, speaking in a conference
call with analysts and reporters, said HP hopes to close its roughly
$1.18 billion acquisition of Verifone Inc by midsummer.
VeriFone Chairman and CEO Hatim Tyabji said in the call that he
expected the deal to enable the two companies to "sharply accelerate
the evolution and acceptance of electronic commerce," such as Internet
and smart card transactions.>>

Re: electronic commerce . . . that's us, ain't it?
All right, so it's a dream.
BTW & FWIW, Verifone stock went from 30 to 47 (56% gain in ONE DAY)
after this announcement.
I'm somewhat of a novice, is 56%/day an acceptable rate of return?

Well, we may not make 56% in one day, but if things go as I'm hoping,
I think it's quite conceivable in the short term (with or without HP).

If not, at least this should qualify as one of the most meaningless
(and unread) posts in SI's short history (I gotta leave some sort of
legacy).

See ya'll/you guys/yous guys (your choice),
David
