Joe, I took this from KFC's website. As our slogan says, at KFC, "We Do Chicken Right!" When Colonel Sanders founded the company almost fifty years ago, he served only his Original Recipe? fried chicken. The name 'Kentucky Fried Chicken' was selected to describe his unique product, and that name served our company well for decades. In the early '90's, our menu expanded to include non-fried chicken. As such, our name changed accordingly to 'KFC.' Our chicken is purchased through many of the same suppliers that you might find in your local grocery store. Our poultry meets or exceeds USDA standards. Plus, it must pass our own rigorous internal quality guidelines. PLUS, you can look at these chicken facts on the webpage kfc.com I don't know what is true BUT I do know that their website is full of chicken words.... It would be interesting to see if their server is based in the US though. CK.
