I saw yet one more show that was talking about the future of smart cards. It would seem now the market place has something to panic about other than the Y2K.

Card security and computer security are going to be the most important issue this year I feel. When your notebook is stolen it's a good thing to know the information is going to be very hard to access.

If the right buttons are pushed right now Mytec could go through the roof. I was talking yesterday to a TD rep very high up and he told me a story.

If a persons card is stolen and the code is in the wallet or purse or any other location and it is used the bank has a hard time proving anything. He told me some users do it themselves and the bank can not prove other wise.

I told him about the Mytec idea and he told me that was not the first time he had heard that suggestion. 6 months we are going to see it used.
