Good morning Tom.

So are you getting excited yet? Can't wait for your report from the trip.

My week in AIM has been interesting. I had a nice increase in my overall value, but not stellar. Just plodding along. Had 2 sells this week and one buy.

This idea of mine to put AIM results into perspective has moved along nicely. Essentially, I take the current value (after all expense, interest, drawdowns and taxes if any), minus the value at entry, and divide by the # of days since I began. This number is my "Daily Salary". I find this to be of great interest to folks I talk to about AIM. One example I use goes like this:

If your daily salary from AIM could get to $500, then you have a 'take home' of $182,500 per year. I think that there are a whole lot of people who could live nicely off of that.

I think the challenge to getting there is to build the base. And that base needs to be diverse, meaning a relatively large number of holdings. I truly believe that this puts the AIM odds in your favor. Using my own experience over the last 2+ months tells me that this is indeed quite achievable! I'm not close to that $500 yet, but my base isn't there yet either. I can say that I'm absolutely amazed at what my daily salary figure has turned out to be given the relatively small effort over an equally small period of time.

Anyway, as always, I'll continue......
