OT - Blackjack

I'm sure the risk of losing was around 10%-15%.
What do you mean by this?

It's been awhile since I read that book, but using basic strategy gives you less than a 1% disadvantage. This varies depending on the type of game (number of decks and rule variations).

That book I mentioned actually goes into the statistics of his system, and it's pretty fascinating. If you count cards and vary your bet intelligently, you can have an advantage over the house.

A hard part is to resist the urges to place the deed to your house on the table as soon as the count gets "right". Betting like Sun apparently did will get you blacklisted in a casino if you're good. Change your betting amounts more modestly.

(Again, I haven't followed his advice. But I borrowed the book from a friend who has done extremely well following the advice.)
