and what with the P&F's negative..i'm betting down for the real money... OJ, piffing may catch the trend but I don't think it is too good on the specific timing - based on my limited exposure to it. In fact, in this instance, I suspect the signals will turn out to be a whip-saw. I think the strength of piffing is probably more in the arena of individual stocks as opposed to the overall market. If you want to check out a really good timing model on the overall market -- intermediate term moves -- check out Gerald Appel's (of MACD fame) service. It has been years since I used it but in the mid-80s I used to subscribe to his service. It was excellent -- and not so long ago (in the past 6 months, I think) one of the financial publications, had his service rated near the top -- his service has stood the test of time since it has been around for a long, long while.
