Somebody over on the Yahoo Tgen thread made
a great observation It's really much more
like the mechanical horse races...
. They're
right--I think to stay sane however, you have
to bet on ponies that you could live with for
awhile--if the machine were to break down suddenly.

I don't know what could spook the biotech party,
after all, the internets ran and ran all last year,
and now B2B, so who can say. What you might want
to know is what is Biotech's B2B of the day, I
guess functional genomics and pharmacogenomics
right now, or mabs--anything.

I don't know...trying not to think too much. Was
happy to lock the wife in to a ~270% gain for
the year, although she still holds CNSI, one we
promised each other we would never sell (could
get cashed out early on that anyway).

A fella who traded internets all last year corresponds
with me from time to time--he's switched to biotech,
and more folks are probably coming over all the time.

I spent a morning walking around Seattle the other day
when we had some sunshine. Usually when I stop by
the little TD Waterhouse branch it is dead--well
it was as busy as I remember seeing it this time (not
that you can fit many folks in there). I'd like to
know what the average joe with his $2k check is
buying, probably not HQH or HQL (although averging
into those slowly would actually not be so bad)...but
I doubt that is where Joe sixpack is going. They are
probably buying the symbols we post on threads like this.

Maybe we have an ethical duty to keep this thread
pretty clean? Not to be to critical RtoS, but I would
say that it might not be a bad idea when we post an
idea here that we round out the suggestion with pointers,
urls, and a little background. Or not--shooting fish
so what the heck (shame on me).

I snagged some CIST at forty cents a share last week
(Cistron is below book value, but is that enough?)
and a batch of GENXY just before the close (Genset
should at least be a $2B usd company right now, but
lags the American genome stocks) and snagged some more
GLIA as well (squeeze??). God help us, it cant be this easy.

But again, I wouldn't want to encourage newbies, a person
who has been in biotech for at least the last few months
has gains to give, so it's easier to let profits run--but
would you want your buddy's first day in biotech to put
him in there buying at the open on Monday, probably not.
