Last year at this time I offered my 10 stocks/mutual funds for 1999. At the close of trading last week(12/23/99), these stocks had appreciated by 90%, based on investing $10,000 in each stock for a total investment of $100,000:

This year I offer the following stocks for my picks in 2000. These stocks are unique in that all are in the biotech/medical field. It is my opinion that in the coming year we will see major attention drawn to this area of investing...aging population, drug companies losing patents on major drugs thereby resulting in buy-outs of smaller biotechs, and relief from Washington as it relates to drug and medical care reimbursements.

Investing in biotechs are always fraught with dangers for one's sanity and financial well being. The mere fact that a company has a product in Phase III testing doesn't mean this product will ever be approved by the FDA. IMO it is always wise to have a very diversified portfolio if you invest in this area.

Each stock is based on purchasing $10,000 dollars of stock in each company, for a total investment of $100,000.

1) ALLP $7.88 for 1269 shares
2) BONZ 5.91 for 1692 shares
3) GNLB 5.75 for 1739 shares
4) IMGN 5.13 for 1949 shares
5) LGND 11.13 for 898 shares
6) NABI 3.97 for 2519 shares
7) SDIX 6.13 for 1631 shares
8) TTP 17.63 for 567 shares
9) USON 4.69 for 2132 shares
10)XOMA 3.13 for 3195 shares

I would welcome any discussion about any of these stocks..plus any that you would like to add to the mix.
