Hardboot --- The opening of Oaklawn was fantastic ... weather early morning in the 20s and warming up during the day to mid 40s. I did fairly well for it to be a fresh meet start .... cashed nearly 50% of my tickets and came home with a tad more than I left town with. Six of us old diehard tracksters rented a condo for the weekend and stayed up most of the night telling lies and them drinking ........ ggggg about 2 every morning you can rest assured that had ANYONE from ANYWHERE or ANY GOVERNMENT OFFICIAL needed ANY problem solved .... we were capable ..... hehehehe I don't drink any more .... quit nearly 10 years ago but I turned into the bartender late every evening cause some of the guys were having trouble pouring the booze and hitting the center of the glass ... and of course I was basically the only one who felt good enough every moring to cook ...... heeheheheheh Nems
