6/96 - AOL announces plan to offer voice over AOL Net. AOL has the advertising revenues coming on. They have Europe and Asia coming on. AOL offers 20 hours for $20 starting 7/96. Sounds a lot like ISP pricing.

Yikes. Could 1997 be the year that AOL finally makes the Internet obsolete, or at least the poor man's substitute?
