Does anybody have any info concerning this development? I first read about this idea earlier this year in, I believe, PC Magazine. Then, much more recently, I read that Quarterdeck is putting out a product (in October?) which will make this available. What are the prospects for this technology? Which companies will be competing? Will the public attempt to save substantial long distance phone call bills by utiling this technology? I recall that the initial technology was pretty rough--the level of communication was akin to walkie-talkie communication. However, I believe that this has recently improved.
