bernie---i have for the past few years, on occasion, used the method bob has described on stop orders once a holding hits a certain price.
i "try" to do this only on a stock that is acting like a rocket and heading straight north as some tech stocks have been wont to do recently.
i then go to the "what if" feature to reset my new buy and sell points. it takes a little mor e work this way, and while i haven't put a pencil to it, i believe i've accumulated more value this way as well as saved a couple of dollars of commissions.
not pure AIM and your cup of tea, but for a "tinkerer" like me, it seems to work. so far!!!
best,
sk
