Amid all the gloom and doom on this board ala' WCOM/FON merger I've mulling over my observations of Bernie from the sidelines since I have no more access to Directors meetings than anyone else...But for instance, suppose Bernie proposes
a deal where he gets MMDS licenses and PCS and sell EVERYTHING else to whomever wants it, BLS BEL DT< you name it...we have UUNet, the facilities based infrastructure, etc, but need the above to make an end to end MegaGorilla...
What do accountabt types, merger manics and lawyers think of this possibility? Might this be a case where the parts are worth to us WCOM holders, and FON shareholders get a good deal...the only guy I have some inside glimse through a close employee similar to Bernie in tenacity and (call it what it is ) ruthlessness is the $ill Gates guy...okay , tear me to shreds you smarter men and women out there. It's Friday and we'll all have to deal with our insecurities over the weekend. jim Black...by the way there is an excellent 40 slide presentation of the WCOM/Fon merger available at the WCOM website.
