Dear Chinton: I did the same thing in the 80's BOY was I sorry!! I think one has to ignore the NOISE and look at the big picture. Our problem isnt a slowing economy its a TOO HOT economy. Frankly, I prefer the latter over the former. I dont think the future for the stock market is nearly as gloomy as SOME people say. I also think the stocks with the greatest risk are the INTERNUTS and other high flying me tooers. The real solid companies with substantial base to their business and solid financials ought to do well IMHO. I think that IF it were too appear to WCOM that they will be denied this merger they will call it off, not sit on their fingers and wait the outcome. So I doubt the money will be dead as long as some say. Now the question is what happens to the stock price if its called off. I dont know, but I would point out they were doing fine before announcing the merger and this wireless business is NOT going to replace fiber optic IMHO. JDN
