Hi Kevin, I've added back the long term Idiot Wave graph to my web site. When the graphs got so crowded with data a while ago I felt I should just show about three years worth.

What I've done is to put up a graph of the 1986 to 1996 period as one graph and let the current 1997 to Date graph remain. This gives some history and well as "current events" to the page.

What some people new to the IW might not realize is that it used to be RARE that the IW would tread in the High Risk area. However since 1997 it's become much more common. Maybe the IW's becoming the FuddyDuddy Index!! I don't know, but the recent new IW record high is telling me that there's not necessarily a new Market Paradigm but maybe some new unseasoned investors participating. Here's what the LT IW looks like:
