Probably no one has realized it but many of the jokes posted here are repeats of other post. What is even worse many of these jokes are jokes I heard as as child 50 years ago.

If we could first discover how to keep people from posting old jokes we would automatically solve the problem of duplicate post.

Please give some serious though to this pressing problem. It is not sufficient to suggest skiping over the post as just seeing a joke that has been posted before is not funny and not to be taken lightly!

Just as a suggestion, perhaps all jokes posted should be made up by the poster. This would assure that they were original even if they might not be funny. Indeed the worse they were the least apt to be copied by someone who did not respect the concept of originallity. Indeed as the jokes got worse and worse we would all spend more time on investing so this suggestion has special merit.
