Big Picture Announces eMerchant pro For Apple Macintosh

Big Picture Technologies Inc. today announced that it is developing a version of its popular eMerchant pro? product for users of Apple MacIntosh computers. The new product, which will have the same features and functionality as the current PC-Windows based eMerchant pro? product, is slated for release in the third quarter of this year.
In announcing the new version, Michael Anthony, Big Picture President & CEO, said: "Widespread market acceptance of eMerchant pro? has created an opportunity to expand
this product's appeal to the extensive and rapidly growing Apple user community. More than 40 million Apple computers are in use worldwide and the vast majority of these-particularly the iMAc's-are Internet wired and ready. Contacts within Apple have told us that the 'Mac' version of eMerchant pro? would be virtually the only product of its kind targeting this explosive market."
Anthony added: "We have had numerous requests from users, from channel partners and from potential co-marketing alliance partners for a 'Mac' version. With development now
more than 50% complete, we are well positioned to meet this demand."
In related developments, channel pick-up of the core eMerchant pro? product continues to exceed expectations. Anthony noted that during the past two months 7 new m ajor resellers have "loaded, or are in the process of loading" the Company's flagship product.
