MCI WorldCom (NASDAQ:WCOM - Quotes, News, Boards), the nation?s second largest telecommunications provider, is expected to earn $0.43 per share when it reports on Thursday April 27 before the market opens. MCI WorldCom stock has been in a funk since the company made a bid last year to buy Sprint (NYSE:FON - Quotes, News, Boards). The stock is down more than 20% on the year and is currently trading at a discount to its long-term growth rate.
