JF...This reference is for a 10 cm diameter room temperature bore laboratory magnet system for NMR studies. Note: cool-down time for this size magnet is 2.5 days, from their specs.

IMHO..using a GM cooler to cool-down and refrigerate a 4.2 degree Kelvin superconducting magnet with a 1 meter diameter room temperature bore typically found in medical facilities for MRI just not in the cards. Regards....jtj
