To me it looks like another big company forcasting slower growth. Slower growth means more aggressive sales tactics,in other words cutting prices.
What ATT has to do will effect the bottom line of many telecoms.Growth will come by luring away the customers of others rather than current customers increasing usage.
It may not be apperent but we are entering a down turn.All those Dotcoms and their future business are now in doute.The telecoms have been adding capacity as fast as possible in anticipation of that business.THey wont be able to slow growth of capacity inline with a slower rate of growth in the economy as a whole.Demand will be less than expected. Too much capacity would have been unimaginable until last month.Now it is open to debate.
