It seems their earnings are not only from the fees they charged per hour, but also the advertisement they can provide for the other companies. Presumbly, any company who wants to form strategic alliance with an on-line company will first consider AOL since it is the largests. It is in this respect that other small companies cannot compete. In a way, it is a long term investment rather than a short, sour and profit take-off thing, IMO. Jinping
