The Nasdaq is reacting positively to the weak retail numbers... quicken.com

This is a double edged sword... Weakening consumer demand could soften the rate hike blow in the short run, but could also soften corporate profitability... A close above 3400 would be a positive... Then we need to stair step back above 3600, 3700, and 3800 closes...

The three major indices are trying to put in a bottom here:

Still troublesome are those New Lows on the Nasdaq running at a 3:1 ratio to New Highs...
