Hi Tom,

I may not deserve an award but I certainly do feel as though I do. Such is the story of my life alas! My perceptions usually exceed my merits ... but in this case ... in a contest between Brazil and Iceland for distance travelled Brazil wins hands down.

I do not have any data for Las Vegas (LV) but let's consider two points which straddle LV for which I do have data. These would be New York (NY)and San Francisco (SF).
I am coming from Sao Paulo (SP) Brazil. The distances in miles are approximately 4,776 and 6,482 miles from SP to NY and SF respectively.

Letting Reyjavik (RK) represent all of Iceland we have the distances from RK to NY and SF are 2,611 and 4,195 respectively. Thus between the two I think Brazil is the big winner ... however

Perhaps you mean cultural distance rather than physical distance. In that case I suggest the award go to someone from the mid west ;-)

Of course I spent four of my childhood years in Illinois so perhaps I might also qualify under this interpretation.

I'm very much looking forward to Vegas and meeting you and all fellow AIMers in person.

Take Care,

Barry
