Personal Portfolio Survey of G&K Thread: 4/2000

G&K post #23966
Message 13530736

I thought we could periodically go back to the survey, and try to extract some additional insights based on the results and on what UF has termed the "parade of portfolios". For my first post on revisiting the Survey...

Fish Lips:

You owned QCOM, which at the time of the Survey comprised 81.7% of your portfolio. I note that of the 117 respondents, you had the highest % ownership of Qcom, as a part of your portfolio. You also listed QCOM as the surest/safest company to double in the next 12 months.

You don't post often, but I thought it would be instructive to hear from you why you have so much faith in this dog of a Gorilla. <g> (BTW, I had the 3rd or 4th highest ownership, with QCOM at 69% of my portfolio).

Given the discussion in the folder over the weekend, do you regret owning so much Qcom? do you wish you had tried trading in and out, or having taken some profits?

Interested in your random thoughts on Qcom.
