This was published in the letters column of the Sydney Morning Herald 10 May 1997: "Overheard in a city court lift yesterday, a group of legal eagles hotly debating the technicalities of a case. Upon leaving the lift one of their number summed up with the great legal axiom:'In the end, the main thing that matters is the fee we charge the client'"
