Hi Tom and everyone,

You certainly took charge of AIM 2000 and got things off to a good start with that cone hat, Tom.

I feel that AIM 2000 turned out well, considering that there was no way of knowing what the outcome might be, since it wasn't done before. Thanks to you and Keith for making the event happen.

The presentations were relevant and interesting, and it was great to share ideas and experiences with other AIMers, and I might add, what a nice bunch of people!

Timing AIM 2000 with The Money Show made the trip even more worthwhile and I feel that it makes good sense to continue this approach going forward. I wish I had more time at The Money Show.

I brought back a demo CD with Indigo software and, when I have some time, I will check it out, see what that is all about. They were doing good business, taking orders at the Show at $3,695 per customer.

At some booths, I found that sales personnel had limited knowledge of what they were selling. 'If the line is going up, you buy; if the line is going down, you sell'. But what does the line represent? They had no idea: 'I am not a computer programmer'.

I would have to agree with RFH that Doug and Bill at PCA are going all the way to the top. They are definitely energetic and enthusiastic, have a useful product which is reasonably priced, and lots of great ideas. I like the optimization feature in the next version of PCA.

What's going on with the markets anyway? Japan seemed to have dropped off quite a bit and it looks like I might soon get an AIM/Newport 'buy' in my Japanese fund.

Regards,

Jack
