Tom, Were you able to attend any of the talks?
With the time I had, I attended two seminars at The Money Show. One of the talks was on value investing by a Mr. Weiss. It was interesting...the message was to buy excellent businesses at a discount. He mentioned Teleflex as one of his picks; looking at the chart, it seems like a good AIM candidate as well.
I've wanted to add a fund for Japan but haven't yet. Which one do you use.
I am in AGF Japan, which is an open-ended Cdn. mutual fund. They seem to do a good job and the fund is mostly invested in large cap stocks.
I don't know if this will work, but try this link for a 3yr chart of the fund vs. the Nikkei:

I just noticed the pictures from AIM 2000. Thanks for singing to me; I had no idea...anyway, nice tune :)
It was a great evening at Emeril's. At the time, I didn't think of it, but in retrospect, I did have a Strewie story to tell. However, I wouldn't want to win the Strewie Award, mainly because I wouldn't want to have to explain the 'Hole in The Shoe' award to Cdn. customs.
It was great meeting you too, Tom. I have to send you a few bucks for the AIM 2000 meeting room, which I will put in the mail asap.
Regards, Jack |
