Recent discussions on the various bulletin boards have been focusing on the topic of economic grade. It seems strange to me no one has drawn attention to the obvious similarities in grade and thus economics between North American Palladium and the River Valley property. North American Palladium has a reserve grade of 1.64 g/t. All indications to date suggest that the River Valley deposit is of similar grade. I recommend any nay-sayers peruse the North American Palladium annual report for production cash costs. What I see here are a few punters creating a lot of smoke and I don't see anybody giving any numbers. In support of the River Valley deposit I offer the argument that the closest production numbers are those of North American Palladium. The annual report can be found at www.sedar.com

These are a few of the figures published:
Projected cash cost after expansion------------$131US an ounce
1999 actual cash cost--------------------------$252US an ounce
1998 actual cash cost--------------------------$231US an ounce
Although the average grade mined for the previous two years is as much as twice that of the reported average reserve grade the comparison can still be made. River Valley has a similar distribution of grade and they will also have a working infrastructure from which to model production at the feasibility stage in North American Palladium. It is well known that North American Palladium had its own bumps and bruises with their hedging and some extraction processes. In the mining industry the greatest teacher is learning from another's mistake. Fortunately these mistakes have been and are being ironed out. By all standards $131US ounce cash cost for an average grade of 1.64g/t is economical.

For all intensive purposes the subtraction of $131 from $500 will always leave you a positive number. Ladies and gentlemen that positive number makes a deposit ECONOMIC.

Those who say the property is uneconomic please post your math and numbers.
