Tom,

Thanks for the reply. Whenever you get a chance to send or post Santos' material is soon enough for me.

I also noted the "near zero" phenomenon in Bob Gammon's presentation and wondered about the interaction of SAFE and minimum buys ($ or shares) and what would happen if we were able to specify when a minimum order should control instead of SAFE. In other words, don't make SAFE and any minimum order additive, let us decide how they will interact, if at all.

I'm also looking forward to optimization, just to see how it's handled, but I think it will be about as successful as it has been in most areas of technical analysis...not very!
Just as soon as you think you've found a signature moving average or SAFE (BUY or SELL) something changes and you're back to tweaking or forswearing off optimization again.

Regardless, messing with optimization will be fun and make for exciting simulations. Unfortunately, I think I hear Banquo's (maybe it's Bernie) ghost getting ready to take vengeance on behalf of Mr. L for departing from his AIM by the book approach.

What the hell...what's a few optimizations between friends. I can control it; I'm not hooked.
