Puck apart from you being rude and wrong, Nokia is missing out on their usual large handset market share because they are not selling really good CDMA handsets. Here are the facts. Also, I've seen or heard nearly all Irwin Jacobs' predictions since the early 90s and you are lying about his predictions. I'm amazed if anyone finds YOU credible if you actually make things up.

Please schedule Irwin's false predictions - using links or references to real publications, not just your own fantasies. I'm sorry to be a little rude here, but you were a bit offensive. Ericsson was actually put on hold by a real live judge for false wordsmithing. Q! hasn't beem.

<"Vomitting forth statements in violation of reality about the real economic value of their intellectual property"> does NOT match reality Puck. In case you haven't noticed, the economic reality is that ALL 3G will be CDMA. The economic reality is that $36bn was bid in the UK for spectrum for 3G and Q! gets 5% royalty on subscriber units [according to Koreans]. So that is an indication of the importance of the economic reality. You will plead that DS-CDMA will not owe Q! royalties. Well, that's not really what the DS proponents are saying is it? I dare say you have noticed that they whine about how high Q! royalties are. That's because they know they'll be paying. It's real Puck. It's real and it's big.

Read the numbers. You said to consider the state of the of the market for IS-95 related products ... here you are:

Nokia better get a piece of the action.

{not pounding my chest and not mutually admiring others - making money hand over fist and about to introduce 3G - oh, I do admire Tero's posts - which although evasive at times, do provide a lot of fact and thinking juice. Mr Fun knows stuff too.}
