Doesn't it seem strange this stock gets a little movement and then someone within the company makes some stupid comments about doubt and reposition? WCOM is definitely an odd play today, in which it doesn't behave the way of the market trends. At a minimum, I cannot wait for some final decision, just to bring to light what the hell is going to happen with this merger as well as the direction of this company.
Sprint from a strategic standpoint looks good for the infrastructure and the PCS business case, but lets not overlook the egos when it comes to get this merger off the ground. Generation D will suffer if Bernie tries to fight the DOJ after a potential merger block. Business units within WorldCom have done wonderful from a growth standpoint, but show nothing in return to its employees. true, WCOM is a very good sound fundamental company, but it has taken hits because of it's political lobbying stands and possibly bullying tactics. (Nothing new to AT&T or SBC).
To summarize this whole merger mess for all of you intelligent and serious investors out there, its like trying to describe any emerging technologies, its always a combination of allot of bullshit all sandwiched in a stinky lunch-box.... |
