Gottfried or anyone,

Well respected analyst Susan Bilat (ex marketing exec for Ultratech Stepper with an excellent analytical record so far) has identified the process of making lenses for lithographic machines as a major bottleneck in the cycle, that it cannot be hurried. Lead times are 9 to 12 months for those components. Do you guys know of any company that is working to unplug this bottleneck?

For an example of what happens when a company makes significant progress in unplugging a bottleneck, check out Aurora BioSciences (ABSC). This outfit is making a signifcant contribution in clearing the drug candidate screening bottleneck, one of the biggest in the drug discovery process, and is benefitting shareholders in spectacular fashion. Not suggesting y'all run out and buy at its current prices, however.

Just looking for a parallel story in the semicon equipment industry.

Many Thanks, Tuck
