In part I take some responsibility for misreading your "baby-step" comment which you describe the technology, not the progress. But OTOH, your response here broadens the scope of your commentary to digital cable and DBS, which is beyond the scope of the NAB newswire. Again, the focus here is on the broadcast & transmission of original content at its source. This is a completely different from DVB and digital DBS, which is essentially limited to the TRANSMISSION of video signals in digital format over a proprietary medium, and not necessarily the BROADCAST of the original content from its SOURCE. By source I mean the station.
