When Gerber started selling baby food in Africa, they used the same packaging as in the US, with the beautiful Caucasian baby on the label. Later they learned that in Africa, companies routinely put pictures on the label of what's inside, since most people can't read. This makes you wonder a bit about the people who did in fact buy the product ... doesn't it? By the way ... I had heard that it is common knowledge (although I cannot verify this) that the baby picture in question is that of Humphrey Bogart as a child! Can anybody comment on this?
