I don't think Glenn is suggesting the table is a "magic bullet." It is useful and, as Glenn pointed out, it has been useful in the past. The proof is in the pudding. (Remember what Pink Floyd said ; )

You are right about the importance of other variables. Growth rates, debt capacity, operating margin dynamics, P/S, and P/S to growth rates are the key ones I use.
