mr. mark has gave you some good points, but also take note: The more stuff you install on your computer (software & hardware) the more problems you will have, or potentially have. Install only what you need to run the machine.
I think maybe that ram program could be conflicting with video drivers, mind you this is just a wild guess, but it is very possible.
I would uninstall that ram program and reinstall your video drivers:

If you uninstall that ram program make sure you re-install the video drivers, once you install a program it can damage other software, and uninstalling won't solve your problems, that's why we discussed taking images of your hard drive before adding new software, so if you have problems, you just restore the image and you are back to where you were before you installed a program that you now want gone.

Get Norton Utilities or System Works and install that on your computer.
If you want to make your system faster, the best way is to upgrade the machine. But you won't get much more speed than you have right now. If you upgrade your computer to a P3 1000, the increase in speed is not worth the money.
I have a Dell P2 450, 128 Ram, 2 months ago I bought a Dell P3 800 with 128 Rambus Ram and I sent it back. The system was not much faster than the one I am using. Mind you I have a fast graphics accelerator, ATI Rage Fury 32MB, but the best way to keep your system flying is to only install the minimum programs and hardware you need. |
