Saw this from CGYC. Although I have no regard at all for them, what RoomLinX is doing seems quite similar to what BIFS has in mind.

BALTIMORE, July 5, 2000 -- Carnegie International Corporation (OTC BB: CGYC) said today that its Paramount International Telecommunications, Inc., subsidiary has signed a three-year agreement with RoomLinX to offer wireless, high-speed Internet access in hotel and hospital rooms in North America.
Mike Eberle, executive vice president of Carnegie and president of Paramount, said the RoomLinX program is “a natural evolution in service to the core long distance, calling card processing and telemanagement services Paramount currently provides to more than 150,000 hotel and hospital rooms in North America. He said Paramount anticipates incremental revenues of some $15 million over the first 24 months of the agreement “based on a conservative projection of phasing-in and delivering service in just one-third of those rooms, and with only 5% usage.”
RoomLinX, based in Vancouver, B.C., Canada with its U.S. headquarters in Fremont, California, developed and markets wireless Internet access at speeds up to 11 Mbps. Powered by industry leader Cisco® Systems (NASDAQ; CSCO), the RoomLinX service allows laptop users to connect without changing any configurations, while hotel and hospital customers do not incur any lease or capital outlay, or deal with time-consuming or cumbersome cabling.
According to Dennis Fitzpatrick, COO of RoomLinX, his company’s proprietary system provides reliable, high-speed service that is immediately and constantly available anywhere throughout the facility.
“The RoomLinX solution is state-of-the-art,” Fitzpatrick said. “We are very excited about the future in working with Paramount, which has an excellent reputation in the hospitality and health industries.”
Paramount’s first beta site for the RoomLinX service was installed at the end of June at the world renowned Sheraton Fallsview in Niagara Falls, Ontario, Canada. Albert Zappitelli, general manager and an owner of the property, said, “management and guests were very pleased with the system’s capability.”
Eberle said a number of long-term agreements to provide RoomLinX service are now being finalized in both the U.S. and in Canada. This service provides a substantial beginning to a new business model for Carnegie that provides recurring revenue and better leverage of existing our customer base.
“We are very enthused about offering this new service,” said Eberle, “and our hotel and hospital customers are equally enthused about having it installed and running in their facilities.”
