Is anyone here from the Middle East?

(A cross-post concerning today's Middle East stuff.)

It clearly is terrorism as far as the Navy ship, and well-organized according to the defense department.
It is just too weird with a tight oil-supply for this to happen in October like this, a day after the put/call ratio spikes, at technical support levels as well.

If I were evil and could manipulate the markets, this would be the perfect plan. Someone like Saddam has plenty of time to think up something like this. "Fight the US economically, and make money from the whole thing...." he might say.

The guy from the defense department *is* saying the ship attack must have been well-planned.

Just too weird. I also heard a few days ago (before this happened) that they started paying the Palenstinians to run in the streets and get injured in some cases.

It's horrible to think that if someone (a terrorist) who planned this is short on the market that they profit from our panic. Obviously they could profit from the oil spike, but imagine the profit if they were one of the many put buyers yesterday (the volume was the heaviest in months).
