Jim, I'm just beginning what will undoubtedly be a long road to understanding Japanese Candlesticks. Here's a link to a chart for the Nasdaq. stockcharts.com[W,A]DACLYIMY[DC][PB10!B50!B200!H.02,.20][VC60][IUB14!LA12,26,9!LP14,3,3] I think that's an Engulfing candlestick pattern. i.e. a bullish signal. Also, it looks to me like the falling SAR has just made contact which should indicate a Stop and Reversal to an up-trend. Just trying to learn more as I go. What do you think? Cush
