I remember that time also. We were both there and both lost alot of $$. To me, it was a learning experience. I made the mistake and never looked back. I never repeated it either. I also remember Tim Luke totally trashing the MTEI thread too. I wish I would have listened to him back then, but I had as many stars in my eyes as you did! Live and learn is the name of the game, if you don't you shouldn't be in the game. I have never touched a bb stock since.
I have learned so much since then. I credit that to Jenna. She taught me alot. Now, I make my own calls, short and long. I always hesitate to post them because I think some "newbie" may follow them and can't take the risk/reward. I'm a much better lurker than anything! I don't want to be responsible for anyone but me. I don't want to put out that lawyer thing about "these are my choices based soley on my interests, and should not be considered investment advice". I have one goal in mind, and that's keeping my portfolio in a growing mode! I don't mind every once in a while saying I'm shorting this at $$ or long this at $$. Just when the mood strikes me though. I mostly do my own thing. The thought that someone would blindly follow my actions, well that terrifies me!
I am appreciative of the people who taught me how to trade. Taught me how to read charts, and assimilate news with the information, that would be Jenna and OJ. Masters, both of them in their own respects. I'm ever grateful to them.

PS-This is the best thread I've seen on SI in about 2 years! It's about time, and I'll try to do my part! I guess it took a alot of blowouts to get to this point but I think it's worth it! |
