Hi Larry, It was an extraordinary 10 years wherein AIM struggled to keep up. There were almost NO decent buying periods in the whole decade of the '90s.

This is why I spent so much time on limiting AIM's enthusiasm for selling! When the market's going straight up, AIM's Cash Reserve feels like an Anchor. When the market's going down, it feels like a Life Preserver!

If you want to have some fun with AIM simulations, try the period from 1970 to 1980!

If the markets have switched from Up-trend to cyclic pattern since May and extending into the future, AIM will do very well against other methods. It may have changed. It takes time to unwind as big a bubble as we had this last Spring.
