Updates are posted to the Network Status page on our website, and Jay and I will usually copy the information to SI or Onelist due to the large number of clients who frequent these area/groups. There were 12 servers in Mountain View (which will be represented in Sunnyvale now), 5 in herndon and now 5 in Boston. Both Herndon and Boston will be receiving servers in addition to the ones already present (5 more at each location).

More eyes read the items in this forum than post to it. Placing the blame immediately (and without all the facts) on Quote.com is a disservice to other traders. Some of the problems we have experienced have been on our end, but many have been due to connectivity problems or other issues that occur between clients and our servers or at the clients end. Users who may have a correctable situation stop looking for the answer and figure, "Well, it's not on my end, so what can I do?". If one chooses the Internet as the medium through which their livelihood depends, one has a responsibility to familiarize themselves with the tool they have chosen. I highly recommend having at least two (three ideally) ISP's, being sure to use companies with different Internet backbone access. You should have alternative data sources. At some point down the road, we'll all have gigahertz connections to our homes, packets will cease being lost, and redundancy may become overkill, but that is not what the Internet is NOW. There are many things one can do to improve, diagnose, and insulate themselves (to some extent) against the pitfalls of Online investing, and to discourage people from using the resources available to them (which I believe happens all too often), is, IMO, a great disservice.
