i just sent a check in... it took 10 days as their docs say it would (might have taken 11 depending on when they rec'd the check). I also just wired more $ in and they indeed credited it in one day (you'd be as impressed as I was about this if you knew what it took for me to get my other broker to wire the $ in the first place :-) fwiw, IB is a sub of TimberHill, which is a self-clearing futures broker (or so says the CME docs)
