yes, qcharts data "bursting" on futures is a real problem... I mainly use qcharts just for the charting. TWS has accurate quotes, and then I use mytrack as well. that's where I prefer to watch my other quotes... i hardly ever have a problem w/ them. w/ TWS you almost have to watch the quotes there since you're eyes will need to be focused there to do the trade. you can only use the demo TWS to get a feel for the execution mechanics. i did try it out for a bit before signing up for the real thing and it usually has real quotes during the day... sometimes the demo freezes up, but the real thing is fine. NQ/ES are pretty liquid, so I don't think you'll have much of a problem (in a normal mkt) w/ getting filled... unless you're planning on trading lots of contracts... by the time you do that, you'll likely figure it out tho :-) my idea isn't to flip/scalp/daytrade ES (tho on certain occasions I may), so a phone broker would be ok, but i personally like direct access even if not 'daytrading'. sounds like trading the big contract is a better idea, but it sounds like fills take noticeably longer. can anyone say whether there is any electronic market (during RTH) for even 1 SP contract? or does even a 1 SP contract trade have to go thru the pit? TIA
